Lost Boys Library - 2009 - Cinematography Reel from Thomas Clayton
"Lost Boys Library is a feature length documentary which chronicles the development of a public library in the remote community of Panyijiar, Southern Sudan. This video contains excerpts from a fact finding mission completed in May of 2009 by Endless Eye Productions and PACODES, NFP to assess the current living conditions in the proposed construction area. I have served as cinematographer on the project for the past year and the film is currently in production." -- http://vimeo.com/6918440
Thomas
"Ganylil, Panyinjiar County, Unity State, Southern Sudan - Thomas is the town drunk - but a sage and a kind soul. He drinks as a form of escape - a sad reality of the civil war trauma that many Southern Sudanese face after 56 years of bloodshed.
Now that there is peace - there is hope. In 2011 we will build a Library in his village - and hopefully change the destiny of a community ready for change.
